A guide to measuring your piece of furniture
In the description of each model of the cover in our Store you will find information about how many elements the cover consists of and the dimensions of the furniture it fits. If you are not sure whether you are buying a cover for the right furniture model, it is worth measuring it first and comparing the dimensions with the description in the store.
Since you often ask – we confirm that each dimension (width, height and depth) is always counted at the widest point of the furniture. Some models have protruding cushions at the front, or armrests that extend beyond the outline of the sofa or armchair. All these elements should always be included in the measurements.
How we measure IKEA furniture dimensions
- Width (W): It is the total width of your piece of furniture in its widest part, including armrests
- Height (H): It is the total height of your piece of furniture, measured from the floor and including cushions
- Depth (D): It is the total depth of your piece of furniture, including cushions
